AI permissions
Permission prompts, scheduled access windows, sensitive folders.
You decide what Claude can see, when, and under what conditions.
Permission modes
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Always ask | Every MCP tool call shows a permission prompt |
| Sensitive only | Prompts only when Claude touches folders you flagged as sensitive |
| Silent | No prompts. Audit log captures everything for later review. |
Scheduled access windows
Restrict MCP access to specific time windows — for example business hours only, weekdays only, or any custom schedule. Outside the window, tool calls are blocked.
Sensitive folders
Mark any folder as sensitive. Claude must request explicit permission per session to read it, regardless of your default mode.
