Do I need a Claude subscription?
No. Marje works perfectly well as a standalone vault. If you want AI features, you bring your own Claude subscription — we don't mark up or proxy anything. You can also use OpenAI or a local Ollama install if you prefer.
Is the lifetime license really lifetime?
Yes. One $49 payment, every future update for as long as Marje exists, no subscription, no renewal.
Where does my data go?
Your files stay on your computer. We never see them. Optional cloud sync (Google Drive or OneDrive) connects directly between your machine and your cloud — we're not in the loop.
How do modules work?
10 free modules are included with your license. Pick them during onboarding or from the in-app Store. Beyond 10, modules are $1.99 each — paid once, yours forever. Three categories: Workspaces (industry templates), Intelligence (AI-powered tools), and Data Forms (structured records).
Windows, Mac, Linux?
Windows at launch. Mac follows within 60 days. Linux is on the roadmap based on demand.
